Method :
Heat ¼ cup chicken broth and steep threads. Saute diced onion in oil, then add rice and stir to coat grains. Add broth, saffron Safinter and cardamom seeds. Bring to a boil then simmer until moisture is absorbed. Plump raisins in warm water. When rice is almost ready, sauté carrots lightly in butter in a heavy skillet. Add rice, banana, raisins, salt and pepper and mix well over low heat until flavors blend.

4 cups chicken broth (1L)
2 carrots, bias-cut
1 banana, diced
½ cup sultanas (90g)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ teaspoon saffron threads Safinter
5 green cardamoms, seeded
1 tablespoon oil
½ medium onion diced
Salt and pepper to taste
