Safinter fields in Santa Ana, Albacete
SAFFRON
Safinter S.A. has had its own saffron growing agricultural facilities in Albacete. In the last decade, in order to improve the whole production process, it has made a major investment in obtaining the best strains and in mechanising the whole production process. The main objective of these improvements is to maximise the characteristic quality of Albacete saffron, from planting and gathering bulbs to the harvesting, peeling and toasting processes. Its own saffron fields are located in different towns in the province of Albacete, where the best saffron has traditionally been produced. The crop period is the moment of the greatest activity for the personnel at Safinter S.A., whose effort is compensated by obtaining a maximum quality saffron production.

Once the growing and harvesting process has concluded, the saffron is transported to the headquarters in Barcelona. The laboratory the firm has on those premises certifies that the product fulfils the international quality standards, authorising packaging and commercialisation of the saffron.

PAPRIKA
In the search for quality products, backed by our customers' confidence, Safinter S.A. commenced commercialisation of La Vera Paprika. This spice is obtained from red pepper produced in 'La Vera' county in Spain.

Safinter S.A. maintains an agreement with a Farmers' Association in La Vera country which performs the selection at origin of the best quality peppers, according to their organoleptic and physical-chemical characteristics. Once that selection is performed, the product is packed to the standards of the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin 'Pimentón de La Vera' (La Vera Paprika).
SAFFRON SYRUP
Since 1912, quality and innovation have been the main objectives of the firm. Being aware of that mentality and based on the old Indian craft recipe for saffron syrup, after a lot of study and research, Safinter S.A. developed the 'Saffron Syrup', which it launched in 2001. Launching that product was a great novelty on the international market. Launching this product was a great novelty on the international market. It is an innovative, versatile product that is prepared by craft technique, choosing a top quality raw material.
